CLASP: Walking out of Darkness Event 2016

Central London | 2016-05-14

Walking Out Of Darkness 2016 will be on Saturday, 14 May 2016 in London and it will be bigger, better and with more participants, charities, entertainment, inspiration than ever before!

Invite your family, friends and work colleagues because ‘Walking Out Of Darkness’ is truly amazing opportunity for People, Businesses, Organisations, Services and everyone across the UK to show support for People suffering with Mental Illness, in crisis or distress, as well as to end the stigma surrounding Mental Illness and seek to increase Suicide Prevention.

Registration is only £10 and participants can fund raise for any local or national UK mental health charity or suicide prevention they like. Our event in May 2015 had charities such as Rethink Mental Illness, Mental Health Foundation, Off the Record, Grassroots Suicide Prevention, Nightline and many more sharing information with participants.

‘Walking Out Of Darkness 2016’ will start from Battersea Park at 10am with a number of influential speakers including celebrities and most importantly, participants on the day seeking to share their experiences to motivate everyone. Also, following the fun had in May 2015, the fitness instructors return to warm everyone up before the start and to get everyone laughing as well.

The new walk route will allow for more people to engage and encourage passers-by to increase mental health awareness; plus London’s iconic landmarks including the Houses of Parliament, London Eye, the Tower of London, Tower Bridge, the Shard, City Hall and many more.
